Chamber's Corner: Welcome Back to Palm Beach

Like the swallows to Capistrano, our friends and neighbors who took off over the summer to other locations have started to return to Palm Beach. What they missed was a lot! From the opening of new retailers here on the island of Palm Beach (who continue to have banner sales), to the fantastic restaurants who hosted all of us with absolute perfection who stay year-round.
One upside, if there is any, of the pandemic, is that so many people have moved here and now call Palm Beach home year-round. Yes, of course a lot of people take off for a week or two in the summer mostly to go to Europe, but our little slice of paradise is evolving into a community that sees folks on the streets shopping and dining 12 months a year, and school buses here in town all up and down our 16 miles of picture prefect beachfront.

Our Town Council led by President Maggie Zeidman and Mayor Dani Moore and the members of the Council, have also been hard at work addressing issues challenging our community and others. From traffic to parking, to the explosion of building and renovating, they are tireless in the desire and efforts to keep Palm Beach picture perfect while also embracing change, which is inevitable.
So many destination towns around the country have not been as diligent with these and other issues, but our elected leadership and professionals who run the town are on top of it.

And yes, Palm Beach was named this year as one of the most romantic small towns in America! Now this is something we locals have always known, but now the word is out! Whether it’s a romantic weekend at the Breakers, or a holiday at The Colony Hotel, a moonlit stroll at the Four Seasons or cocktails and dinner at Eau Palm Beach, there is so much to see and do — and all walkable! And if this isn’t enough, for those who love the beach, it’s right here at your fingertips all up and down our town.
Don’t you think it’s time to join us here in paradise?
