Fans of Dan’s Papers founder Dan Rattiner were treated to a special event at Stony Brook Southampton Library, where they had the opportunity to meet and greet the Hamptons-based author.

Rattiner, who kickstarted his publishing career with The Montauk Pioneer, later evolving into Dan’s Papers, also co-founded publications like The East Village Other and The Block Island Times.

Rattiner also showcases his talents as a cartoonist and host of a weekly podcast, amassing a literary legacy that includes 12 published books. The university preserved Rattiner’s history, housing a collection of his drawings, diaries, papers and letters.

The event unfolded in the library lobby, where attendees enjoyed light refreshments courtesy of Golden Pear Cafe.
