Southampton Inn Celebration Aims to Promote Off-Season Tourism
Community leaders, including Southampton Village Mayor Bill Manger and Suffolk County Legislator Ann Welker, convened at Dede Gotthelf’s Southampton Inn for a discussion focused on enhancing the year-round economy to support local businesses, nonprofits and cultural institutions.
The event marked Gotthelf’s 25th anniversary as owner of the inn and brought together a diverse array of stakeholders, including representatives from Discover Long Island, The Bentley Hotel, Publick House, Southampton Social Club, Main Prospect, Ellen Hermanson Foundation, Parrish Art Museum, Southampton History Museum and Dan’s Papers.
Gotthelf emphasized the need to promote off-season tourism while Mayor Manger outlined infrastructure improvement aimed at enhancing the village’s attractiveness and safety.
