The Donald M. Ephraim Sun and Stars International Film Festival Celebrates Opening Night
The Donald M. Ephraim Sun & Stars International Film Festival (SASIFF), presented by MorseLife, opened its two week screenings of memorable and award-winning films in Palm Beach and Delray with the Palm Beach County premiere of the documentary Taking Venice.
Guests enjoyed a cocktail reception at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts Cohen Pavilion before seeing the captivating film about manipulation of the fine art industry in the Rinker Playhouse, home to the Palm Beach screenings.
Amei Wallach, the film’s director, was joined by President and CEO of The Society of the Four Arts Philip Rylands in an engaging post-screening discussion.
The SASIFF presented a curated lineup of 25 films that spanned genres from both up-and-coming and established filmmakers from around the world.
The festival honors North Palm Beach resident Donald M. Ephraim and is overseen by Artistic Director Barbara Scharres, the former director of programming at the Gene Siskel Film Center at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
