The Ellen Hermanson Foundation, chaired by philanthropist and author Jean Shafiroff, hosted their summer gala fundraising event at the Bridgehampton Tennis & Surf Club in Bridgehampton.

The foundation honored Dr. Fredric Weinbaum, former Chief Administrative Officer/COO of Stony Brook Southampton Hospital, and Rebecca A. Seawright, a New York State Assemblymember.

The event featured DJ Michael of East End Entertainment, cuisine by Robbins Wolfe Eventeurs, and Lucas Hunt, president of HUNT Auctioneers, served as the Master of Ceremonies for the live auction.

Funds raised were dedicated to acquiring a tomosynthesis mammography machine, micro-grants and more to serve people in the community.
