Nuestra Cultura Community Day Returns to Norton Museum
The Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach (1450 S. Dixie Highway) will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with its annual Nuestra Cultura Community Day in early October.
A free event set for 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, Nuestra Cultura Community Day includes Latin music, dance, art activities, and more.
Last year, more than 700 people came to the Norton to celebrate the diverse cultures and traditions across South America, Central America, Mexico, and the Caribbean.
“We welcome more visitors each year to Nuestra Cultura,” Ghislain d’Humières, Kenneth C. Griffin Director & CEO of the Norton, said. “They come to learn, to be entertained, and to be inspired.”
Guests can create their own art during workshops, enjoy entertainment from musicians and dancers, feast on food inspired by cuisines from across the Americas, and meet with representatives of community organizations.
“It’s a pleasure to welcome friends who return year after year,” d’Humières added. “But this community day offers an opportunity to introduce the Norton Museum of Art to families who are visiting for the first time. Seeing that is so satisfying.”
