Palm Beach Zoo Hosts DO at the Zoo
Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society’s highly anticipated DO at the Zoo was the Palm Beaches’ wildest culinary and cocktails event.
More than 400 Palm Beach Zoo enthusiasts, wildlife philanthropists, community leaders and epicureans sipped, savored and strolled through this annual al fresco event. Celebrated under the sparkling and brilliant Zoo Lights, Palm Beach Zoo’s eco-friendly holiday lights tradition presented by FPL SolarNowTM, DO at the Zoo was a luminous night of delicious cuisine, craft cocktails and a shared commitment to wildlife.
Dressed in “Stay Wild” attire, guests enjoyed interacting with some of the Zoo’s most fascinating and popular residents, always a unique experience at every Zoo special event. Evening highlights included pop-up encounters with Priscilla, the Zoo’s charismatic African crested porcupine; Sammy, the blue and gold macaw; great horned owl Hino; and Amada, Brazilian rainbow boa. Western cougar Micco and jaguar Fiona connected with eventgoers through unforgettable up-close experiences.
DO at the Zoo exemplifies how the Zoo is living its mission to save wildlife in wild places. Guests “Zoo more good” by delighting in bird-friendly coffee and chocolate grown in a way that allows wild birds to live and thrive on coffee and cocoa farms and dining using eco-friendly utensils and plates. Support for DO at the Zoo helps protect animals locally and around the world.
“Thank you for making DO at the Zoo an incredible evening for wildlife,” said Michele Kessler, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society.
