Smile Farms celebrated a year of progress at their annual Growing Together Gala, held at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in Manhattan.

The event honored key contributors, including Sonia James, who received the Farmer of the Year award.

Once a patient at Catholic Health’s Mercy Hospital, Sonia now works as a Smile Farmer at Catholic Health, where she helps produce fresh food for Mercy Hospital’s Family Care Program, serving food-insecure families.

“Sonia has shown exceptional dedication and outstanding performance,” said Rebecca Tillman.

Guests enjoyed performances by the Incognito Artists and Tony nominee Ann Hampton Callaway, alongside a live auction that made this the highest-grossing gala in the organization’s history.
